Advocact for Peer Recovery Specialists
Overview
Advocacy for Peer Recovery Specialists is a 2-day in-person training that provides participants with the knowledge and skills to become certified in Maryland. Participants will learn to describe and respect client rights and responsibilities; to advocate within systems to promote person-centered recovery and/or wellness support services; to collaborate with individuals to identify, link, and coordinate choices in resources; and to engage in advocacy that supports client families. The training is interactive and includes discussion, role play, and written exercises.
