The CCAR Advanced Academy for Recovery Coaches (AARC) is an advanced training program specifically designed for individuals already working in the field of peer support and recovery coaching. This comprehensive program builds on existing skills and professionalism, equipping experienced recovery coaches with advanced techniques and insights to deepen their impact.

This is a four day 25 hour program was developed by CCAR and facilitated through Recovery Coach Professional Facilitators as designated by CCAR. The training emphasizes experiential learning, focusing on core principles such as active listening, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, self-awareness, and vulnerability. Its interactive format fosters meaningful conversations, self-discovery, and professional growth while providing tools to address challenges like compassion fatigue, biases, and coaching expectations.

Participants engage in structured activities, group discussions, and practical exercises that explore multiple recovery pathways and develop effective coaching strategies. Rooted in a holistic approach to recovery, the program addresses mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical dimensions, empowering coaches to guide recoverees on their unique journeys.

Designed for seasoned professionals, the AARC aligns with peer support values by emphasizing shared experiences, the art of asking meaningful questions, and leveraging curiosity and creativity in coaching relationships. This approach reinforces the recovery coach's role as a trusted resource and partner, embodying the belief that "transformed people transform people."

In essence, the AARC equips experienced recovery coaches with the tools and perspectives to inspire recovery, foster resilience, and champion self-efficacy in the lives of those they support.
