Drugs 401: Understanding the History of Drug Policy

This training takes a look at the history of drug policy in the United States. Beginning in the 1800s through current practices, this session goes further into laws like the Controlled Substances Act, which continues to guide drug scheduling today. It also looks as the targeted racial associations with different Black, Hispanic, and Asian communities as a means of shifting labor disputes into racially-charged discrimination practices.
