MHI is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Supervisor for our Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, this role is pivotal in providing advanced clinical support, managing our team of clinicians, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review all evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, and reports.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other personnel in client evaluation and treatment to promote sobriety.
  • Provide individual and group supervision to counselors.
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings.
  • Delegate tasks related to intake, evaluation, orientation, admissions, treatment planning, counseling, documentation, discharge planning, and referral of clients.
  • Oversee the maintenance of case records and urine surveillance systems.
  • Supervise counselors with all new intakes and oversee the development of individualized treatment plans.
  • Recommend appropriate treatment modalities within the person-centered healthcare model.
  • Collect statistics for reports, prepare required documentation, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and facilitate group and educational programs.
  • Ensure adherence to COMAR regulations for continued licensure and compliance with legal issues including client confidentiality and risk management.
  • Exhibit professionalism in interactions with clients, families, and staff, maintaining confidentiality and decorum in all areas of the facility.
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Licensed as LCADC with supervisor endorsement preferred (Maryland).
  • Or CAC-AD supervisor (Maryland) .
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (currently ICANOTES).
  • Familiarity with State Regulations (COMAR), DEA regulations, and ACHC accreditation standards.
  • Understanding of evidence-based treatment strategies and ASAM criteria.
  • Experience with multi-cultural/multi-lingual populations and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills and respect for confidentiality.
