Mentoring & Education for Peer Recovery Specialists

Overview

In this training, participants will practice and learn how to teach others self-care; learn now to educate others through shared experiences; learn how to support the development of healthy behavior that is based on choice; and learn how to assist clients in establishing and maintaining healthy relationships. Participants also will learn effective communication skills, conflict resolutions skills, problem-solving skills, and how to facilitate effective support groups. The content will focus on peers who will be working with transitional age youth.
