We are seeking a passionate. ethical, and team oriented Certified Peer Specialist to join us. This crucial role involves offering support and guidance to individuals facing behavioral health challenges in an outpatient setting, using your own lived experiences to inspire recovery and resilience. Schedule and hours are flexible, focusing on meeting your needs and the needs of our population. We offer competitive compensation packages individualized to meet your needs.
Provide advocacy, emotional support, coping strategies, and crisis intervention to individuals with behavioral health issues.
Conduct one-on-one sessions to offer emotional support and encouragement.
Assist clients in accessing entitlements and developing essential life skills.
Co-facilitate group sessions on various topics related to mental health and addiction recovery.
Support clients throughout their continuum of care and integration into the community.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and offer consultation on recovery principles and strategies.
Help clients manage stressful situations to prevent relapse.
Guide clients through stages of change, model effective problem-solving skills, and monitor progress.
Serve as a mentor and role model, offering hope and practical assistance in the office and beyond.
Assist with toxicology screenings and administrative tasks as needed.
Transport patients to clinical appointments and recovery events as needed, addressing pertinent client needs.
Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist.
Experience in mental health and/or addiction treatment.
Proficiency in ethical peer support methods to empower individuals on their recovery journey.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective rapport with clients and team members.
Familiarity with technology, company systems, and tools required for the role.
Experience with electronic health records is preferred.
Ability to work independently and as a trusted team member.
Strong writing and documentation skills.
Maintain confidentiality at all times when interacting with clients, families, and other contacts.
Demonstrate excellent customer relations skills through supportive and constructive communication.
Possession of a valid driver’s license, insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
