Compassion Fatigue
Overview
This course is designed to prepare helpers to teach and guide colleagues about self care, developing and managing a self care plan, and effective compassion fatigue stress management. Course will cover the stress first aid fundamentals and best practice regarding salutogensesis, stress injury, burn-out, secondary traumatic stress/vicarious traumatization, compassion fatigue, moral distress/moral injury, and stress resolution. Special focus will placed on advocacy. Course is part of the approved Green Cross Academy of Traumatology curricula.
