Public Health Development Studies
Overview
The course introduces students to Public Health concepts and practice, behavioral sciences, health care administration, medical ethics, and social work. It aims at enhancing the skills and awareness of these women to work for the empowerment of women informed by the idea of participation and for the training of volunteer helpers and professional counselors who are working in the psychosocial, legal, or health sectors. The course's goal is to equip women with public health knowledge and employable skills, including public relations, to promote economic equity and to increase employment opportunities for government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and behavioral health organizations.
